Dr. Aymen Owais Ghauri is an accomplished academician, researcher, and Consultant Naturopath with extensive experience in Eastern Medicine, natural therapeutics, and complementary healthcare. She currently serves as Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Eastern Medicine, Faculty of Medical & Allied Health Sciences, Jinnah University for Women, Karachi, and has previously served as Chairperson of the Department of Pharmacognosy within the Faculty of Pharmacy. She holds a PhD in Eastern Medicine, with her doctoral research focused on Diabetes Mellitus, and is a graduate of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Her academic contribution includes more than 70 research publications, reflecting a strong commitment to advancing scientific understanding within Eastern and natural medicine. Dr. Aymen has also contributed to academic literature through three book chapters, addressing topics including food and dietary approaches for diabetes, trends in natural medicine in the modern era, and natural management of melasma. With more than 15 years of clinical practice in Natural Medicine, her principal areas of expertise include Naturopathy and Regimental Therapies, particularly cupping therapy, leech therapy, cautery, dietotherapy, Nutool therapy, aromatherapy, therapeutic baths, and other traditional therapeutic modalities. She currently practices naturopathy and regimental therapies across multiple clinical setups. At Al Hadid Complementary Medicine Academy, Dr. Aymen serves as Head of the Department of Research & Complementary Medicine, where she leads the development of research culture, academic standards, evidence-based complementary medicine initiatives, research mentorship, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
